The second question is n/a as I didn't have any treatment, I just wanted a maintenance massage. I wasn't happy with it. I asked for a sports massage and stated on enquiry that I didn't want any preamble just 60minutes of massage and I specified the pressure that works for me. I was advised this was fine. I asked for it to be hard as I know what works for me. I advised the masseuse I wasn't injured and didn't want any diagnosis. Just a full hour of massage. Any decent masseuse, should be able to figure out which bit need working by touching the client, that has always been my experience anyway. I probably got 30 minutes of massage, lots of talking and conjecture. The massage was not in any way hard enough to get through the knots and release the tension. in my legs. I had another massage elsewhere who did as I asked. I understand harder may not be better, but I know what works for me and I expect to get what I ask for when I am paying a lot of money. She was very nice and personable, but she said herself, not very experienced. I would actively discourage people from going to CGP for massage. Hi Steve, thanks for taking the time to leave constructive feedback. It’s disappointing to get negative feedback, but you clearly didn’t get what you expected. In relation to the preamble you mentioned, unfortunately it's something that all first time patients to the clinic need to have. Even for simple non-injury related massage, we need to make sure there are no underlying conditions or medications that might preclude you from having it. It’s a professional liability issue. We also think it’s useful for the therapist to learn a little more about you as they can often suggest things that would help with muscle tightness generally. However, clearly this wasn’t what you expected, nor wanted. The therapist you saw is really great, but clearly not a good “fit” for you. Given your disappointment and honest feedback, we’d like to offer you a couple of sessions for free with one of our other therapists, who I’m sure you’ll find great. Thanks again for taking the time to feedback to us.
